What you will do

• Lead pre-clinical in vivo imaging studies in mouse models relevant to Alzheimer’s disease.
• Use multiphoton microscopy and optical imaging to assess pial artery function, vascular smooth muscle calcium signaling, and cerebral blood flow.
• Investigate how vascular amyloid-β(1-40) affects arterial constriction, calcium signaling, and cerebral blood flow.
• Apply behavioural assessment, histology, immunohistochemistry, and physiological analysis.
• Develop translational research within a multidisciplinary academic-industry collaboration.
• Publish findings, present internationally, build collaborations, and contribute to future grant applications.

Requirements

• Expertise in pre-clinical in vivo cerebrovascular imaging, vascular physiology, or neurovascular coupling.
• Strong experimental and analytical skills.
• Experience with pre-clinical vascular imaging.
• Interest in mechanisms underlying neurovascular dysfunction in dementia.
• Ability to work within a multidisciplinary research collaboration.
