PET QC Chemist (Radiotracers)

Location: London, United Kingdom (Hammersmith Hospital)

What you will do

• Perform QC of assigned radiotracers according to project distribution and scanning schedules.
• Develop, validate, implement, and document QC methods for newly assigned radiotracers.
• Provide routine QC and analytical chemistry support for clinical and pre-clinical studies, including precursor characterization and radiotracer purification.
• Process HPLC and GC data and complete routine laboratory tasks such as preparing buffers and calibration standards.
• Maintain cGMP-compliant QC records and investigate out-of-specification results and deviations within the QMS.
• Present technical QC issues and results to internal and external audiences and audits, and train colleagues in relevant procedures.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of experience in a QC laboratory.
• Experience with HPLC.
• Experience working in a GMP environment.
• Undergraduate degree in Chemistry or a related scientific discipline.

Nice to have

• Experience with GC.
• Experience working with short-lived radioisotopes, especially carbon-11 and fluorine-18.
• Experience with change control.
