Senior Scientist (Biomarker Operations)

What you will do

• Lead biomarker operational activities throughout the clinical study lifecycle from start-up to close-out.
• Serve as the primary subject matter expert for tissue-based biomarkers and IHC assay implementation.
• Manage biomarker vendors and testing laboratories to ensure high-quality, timely deliverables.
• Oversee biospecimen management, including tracking, reconciliation, and biobanking processes.
• Maintain inspection readiness through rigorous documentation and eTMF management.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement and scalability of biomarker operational processes.

Requirements

• Fluent English required (written and verbal).
• Fluent French preferred (written and verbal).
• Bachelor's, Master's, or equivalent degree in Life Sciences, Biomedical Sciences, Immunology, Pathology, or related discipline.
• Experience supporting biomarker activities within clinical development programs.
• Strong understanding of GxP principles, quality requirements, and clinical trial processes.
• Demonstrated experience in vendor management and biospecimen logistics.
• Knowledge of tissue biomarker workflows and IHC assay implementation.

Nice to have

• Advanced degree (MSc, PharmD, or PhD) in a relevant scientific discipline.
• Experience in oncology or rare disease clinical development.
• Familiarity with digital pathology or translational biomarker technologies.
• Experience with assay validation and assay transfer.
