SAP Basis Engineer (Second Shift)

Location: Remote within the United States; candidates must be U.S. citizens residing in the U.S. Second shift: 2:00 PM to 11:00 PM Pacific Time. Preference for candidates on the U.S. West Coast.

Base salary: $110,000–$125,000 USD per year

What you will do

• Provide technical support for client SAP Basis systems in managed environments.
• Perform SAP system migrations, landscape refreshes, database backup and recovery, high-availability configuration, patching, performance management, and problem management.
• Design and implement SAP solutions, enhancements, updates, and critical changes.
• Build and maintain documentation covering root causes, procedures, and problem-resolution actions.
• Collaborate with delivery, development, and SAP teams to improve systems operations and define best practices.
• Execute project goals and participate in root cause analysis.

Requirements

• U.S. citizenship and residence in the United States are required.
• Availability for the second shift from 2:00 PM to 11:00 PM Pacific Time is required.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Applied Sciences, or equivalent experience.
• 3+ years of experience as an SAP Basis Engineer in a service provider or advanced IT organization operating in a 24/7 environment.
• Strong experience administering SAP HANA and understanding SAP security principles.
• Experience with configuration management, automation tools, cloud services on AWS or Azure, and agile engineering practices.

Nice to have

• Experience with Red Hat Enterprise Linux and Ansible.
• Development experience with Python or Java.
• Experience with Sybase ASE.
• Experience in commercial or government cloud environments.
