Cybersecurity Consultant

Location: Amsterdam, Netherlands; hybrid work from home, the client, or the Amsterdam office

What you will do

• Deliver cybersecurity consulting, implementation, and audit projects under the supervision of experienced consultants.
• Work across cyber strategy, risk management, compliance, operations, and resilience engagements.
• Support projects involving cloud security, security architecture, infrastructure and endpoint protection, cryptography, incident response, threat hunting, vulnerability management, and penetration testing.
• Contribute to the hirify.global CyberLab by developing SaaS solutions, benchmarking cybersecurity products, and creating proof-of-concepts using advanced technologies and AI.
• Contribute to cybersecurity publications, webinars, studies, professional events, and industry monitoring.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in engineering, computer science, statistics, or econometrics.
• 1–3 years of relevant experience in a consulting firm and cybersecurity projects.
• Strong interest in data and AI-related topics, with the ability to quickly build expertise.
• Knowledge of one or more of Python, C++, Java, Ruby, Node, Go, or PowerShell.
• Knowledge of IP networks, operating systems, cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP, applications, and cryptography.
• Fluent Dutch and English communication and presentation skills are required; non-Dutch speakers will not be accepted.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of blockchain.
• Experience with additional cybersecurity technologies and frameworks.
