Service Designer (Fintech)

Location: Edinburgh, United Kingdom; hybrid working with at least two days per week or 40% of working time at an office site

What you will do

• Work with agile teams to uncover priorities, visualise outcomes, and define scope.
• Shape strategic propositions and services using colleague, customer, and market insight.
• Facilitate workshops and stakeholder discussions to clarify business context, needs, risks, and decisions.
• Research and document current-state and future-state services.
• Make user-centred design decisions and challenge unsuitable constraints.
• Collaborate with designers, product owners, engineers, and the wider design community.

Requirements

• Experience with research and design thinking methods.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills across senior, technical, and non-technical audiences.
• Innovative, proactive, and motivated approach to problem solving and continuous improvement.
• Ability to identify risks, respond to changing priorities, and remain resilient under pressure.
• Confidence to constructively challenge decisions and manage multiple stakeholder perspectives.
• Ability to meet the hybrid office attendance expectation in Edinburgh.
