Indirect Tax Manager

Location: Hybrid, hub-based in Bristol, Glasgow or London, with flexibility to work mostly from home

Salary: £70,000–£80,000 per year, plus a 15% on-target bonus and 9% Flex Pay.

What you will do

• Review and document end-to-end VAT processes from source data through to tax returns.
• Analyse and adapt processes for VAT projects and transitional activities.
• Identify and implement control improvements to support robust tax compliance.
• Partner with finance and technology project teams to design processes and reporting.
• Own required actions and deliver process and control changes with support from the Senior Indirect Tax Manager.
• Provide indirect tax project support as required.

Requirements

• ACA or CTA qualification.
• Excellent technical knowledge of indirect tax, particularly VAT compliance processes and financial controls.
• In-house experience in a consumer-facing business.
• Ability to solve complex problems, investigate issues in depth, and take ownership of delivery.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills for working with tax, finance, technology, and operational stakeholders.
• Ability to work in a hub-based arrangement in Bristol, Glasgow or London; visa sponsorship is not available.

• Strong background in indirect tax compliance and financial controls.
• Experience bridging tax requirements with wider finance and operational business areas.
