Senior Hardware Engineer (Power Electronics)

What you will do

• Develop hardware throughout the product lifecycle, from calculations and analysis through schematic design, PCB design collaboration, prototyping, and testing.
• Develop power electronics solutions for electromobility, including on-board chargers and HV/LV DC/DC converters.
• Evaluate MOSFET behaviour using an 8-channel oscilloscope, isolated probes, specialized shunts, and dedicated laboratory equipment.
• Support EMC and climatic testing and validation using specialized workstations and equipment.
• Introduce automation, Python tools, and AI-based solutions to improve hardware development efficiency.
• At senior level, contribute to research topics involving magnetics, EMC, and converter optimization in cooperation with industrial partners.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of experience in power electronics hardware development; 3–7 years of relevant experience is preferred.
• University degree in electronics, electrical engineering, or a related field, with a strong understanding of electronics and physics.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail and the ability to work independently.
• Qualification or prerequisites to work independently on electrical equipment under Government Regulation No. 194/2022.
• Good working knowledge of Czech and English.

Nice to have

• Automotive industry experience and familiarity with relevant development standards and processes, including ISO 26262.
• Experience developing hardware-support tools, ideally with Python.
