(Senior) Development Engineer - Protection & Filtering (Semiconductors)

Development of semiconductor products for protection, filtering, high-speed, RF-sensitive, and automotive applications.

What you will do

• Develop next-generation discrete ESD and TVS protection devices.
• Drive technical work packages across device design, simulation, packaging, technology, application requirements, and product qualification.
• Act as system architect, defining product concepts and owning performance and execution.
• Translate customer, application, and roadmap requirements into technical requirements for semiconductor technologies, package design, chip design, and product performance.
• Contribute to protection, filtering, signal-integrity, and system-level robustness roadmaps.
• Drive semiconductor, electromagnetic, SPICE, and SEED-based system-level ESD simulations while collaborating with internal and external technical communities.

Requirements

• Master’s degree or PhD in Physics, Electrical Engineering, Microelectronics, RF Engineering, High-Speed Electronics, or a comparable field.
• Strong understanding of semiconductor physics, semiconductor devices, industrial semiconductor technologies, and product development processes.
• Hands-on experience with TCAD tools and SPICE modeling; knowledge of SEED methodology and CST or comparable electromagnetic simulation tools is beneficial.
• Knowledge of S-parameters, high-speed applications, RF and signal-integrity behavior, and protection or filtering technologies.
• Python programming skills and openness to using software and AI-based methods for engineering, simulation, and data analysis.
• Fluency in English is required. Strong communication, ownership, cross-functional leadership, and stakeholder-management skills are expected.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of common-mode filters, common-mode chokes, integrated coils, passive RF filters, or integrated passive devices.
• Professional experience in semiconductor product development, ESD/TVS protection, RF/signal integrity, EMC, or simulation.
• German language skills.
• Experience mentoring engineers or acting as a recognized technical expert.
