Supplier Engineer (Semiconductor)

What you will do

• Work with New Product Development and New Product Introduction teams to clarify engineering drawing requirements and involve suppliers in specification reviews.
• Support design-for-manufacturability activities and evaluate alternate manufacturing processes for cost reduction, quality improvement, and reliability.
• Participate in supplier selection and develop a competitive supply base across quality, cost, delivery, and technology.
• Conduct supplier technical audits, production assessments, and capability evaluations for transferred and new modules.
• Investigate quality incidents, identify root causes, and drive corrective actions and continuous improvement.
• Evaluate product requirements and recommend qualified materials and sources to Design Engineering.

Requirements

• Expanded conceptual knowledge in the relevant engineering discipline and the ability to apply technical experience and judgment to straightforward problems.
• Knowledge of supplier quality, manufacturing processes, technical audits, and production readiness assessment.
• Ability to communicate engineering requirements and explain complex information clearly.
• Ability to work with cross-functional product development, introduction, design, and supplier teams.
• Willingness to travel approximately 20% of the time.
