Senior Instrumentation Engineer (Pharma)

Location: Onsite in Cork, Ireland

International project delivery services covering project management, process and facility design, construction management, and commissioning and qualification for pharmaceutical and other multinational clients.

What you will do

• Design instrumentation systems as part of multidisciplinary project delivery teams.
• Prepare and manage bid, approval, and construction-issue instrumentation design packages.
• Support fee proposals, capital budgets, value engineering, and cost-effective technical solutions.
• Monitor, mentor, and peer-review instrumentation engineering team members.
• Coordinate clients, vendors, site personnel, contractors, and external stakeholders.
• Support design implementation, construction, quality standards, and project handover.

Requirements

• Third-level degree in engineering, applied physics and instrumentation, or a similar discipline.
• 7+ years of formal experience in industrial engineering design.
• Experience with instrument control system design, instrument specification, remote I/O subsystem design, procurement support, and design progress reporting.
• Experience with budget control, contractor management, construction design support, and project handover.
• Knowledge of SIL safety interlocks, gas detection systems, ATEX and hazardous areas, applicable codes, standards, and industry best practices.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a strong commitment to safety, quality, ethics, and sustainable design.
