IT Manager (Game Development)

Location: On-site in Brisbane, Queensland, Australia

hirify.global Brisbane is a video game studio developing cross-platform games, including Bluey’s Happy Snaps and other announced and unannounced projects.

What you will do

• Lead, coach, and develop the local IT Support Technicians team.
• Provide hands-on support for hardware, software, networking, and workstation issues.
• Manage on-premises infrastructure, core services, virtualization platforms, and network operations.
• Oversee hardware and software inventories, licensing, deployment, vendors, and IT asset lifecycles.
• Monitor infrastructure health and performance using tools such as Grafana.
• Partner with studio leadership, global infrastructure, and information security teams on technology strategy, standardization, and continuous improvement.

Requirements

• Experience in IT leadership, including leading or mentoring technical support teams.
• Strong knowledge of Windows server and desktop environments, networking, virtualization, and on-premises infrastructure.
• Experience with IT operations, asset management, hardware and software lifecycles, and software licensing.
• Understanding of IT security, monitoring, backups, and business continuity.
• Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, stakeholder management, organization, and communication skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with Microsoft 365, Intune, Microsoft Entra ID, Microsoft Defender, or Exchange Online.
• PowerShell automation experience.
• Experience with Grafana or other infrastructure monitoring tools.
• Experience supporting game development or creative studio environments.
• Microsoft, VMware, or other relevant industry certifications.
