Sr Data Gov. Lead, Auto & Ops

Location: Onsite at 8200 Dixie Rd, Brampton, Ontario, Canada; Toronto, Ontario is also listed as a location. No travel is required.

What you will do

• Modernize enterprise data governance processes, workflows, operating practices, standards, and controls.
• Design scalable operating models and automated governance solutions with business and technology teams.
• Establish governance metrics, KPIs, scorecards, dashboards, reporting, and assessment capabilities.
• Improve data quality controls, monitoring, metadata management, lineage, stewardship, and data ownership practices.
• Embed governance-by-design and shift-left practices into enterprise initiatives and operational requests.
• Drive governance adoption through stakeholder engagement, guidance, workshops, training, communications, and change management.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in information systems, information management, data management, business, computer science, or a related discipline.
• 5+ years of experience in data governance, data management, governance operations, data quality, metadata management, or a related field.
• Experience implementing and operationalizing enterprise data governance programs, including processes, controls, operating models, and governance-by-design practices.
• Strong understanding of metadata management, data lineage, data quality, stewardship, data ownership, privacy, compliance, and risk management.
• Experience with governance and data platforms, automation tools, SQL, BI, analytics, and executive reporting.
• Corporate employees are expected to work onsite in Canada; candidates must clear a Canadian criminal record check.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of GDPR, PIPEDA, ISO 27001, and related industry standards.
• Familiarity with AI ethics principles and frameworks.
• Relevant certifications such as CDMP or DGSP.
