Location: Baltimore, Maryland, United States; onsite

Salary: $98,400–$135,300 per year, plus a 15% annual bonus for eligible positions

What you will do

• Lead and supervise approximately 17 designers and drafters responsible for transmission and substation engineering design.
• Oversee engineering drawings, schematics, wiring diagrams, cable tabulations, civil and mechanical drawings, and bills of materials.
• Ensure designs comply with engineering practices, utility standards, regulatory codes, and equipment design bases.
• Coordinate design resources, contractors, Work Management, and project engineering staff to support reliability and capacity expansion programs.
• Manage design audits, performance measurements, design package readiness, employee development, and the department budget.
• Provide extended-hours coverage during storms or other energy delivery emergencies when required.

Requirements

• 4–7 years of design experience in the utility industry or equivalent external experience.
• 2–3 years of internal supervisory experience or an acceptable Supervisory Assessment rating.
• Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related field.
• Demonstrated leadership, supervision, communication, consensus-building, execution, and multitasking skills.
• Knowledge of company policies, engineering and design practices, governmental laws, regulations, safety requirements, and utility operations.
• Onsite work in Baltimore, Maryland is required.
