HV Project Engineer (Power Substations)

Location: Full-time onsite jobsite in Los Banos, California, with travel required

Salary: $74,124–$92,655 per year

Provides infrastructure services for the power industry, including the design, construction, and maintenance of utility-scale solar, battery storage, and high-voltage substation projects.

What you will do

• Attend project meetings, prepare minutes, maintain electronic filing systems, drawings, specifications, and project logs.
• Assist with CPM scheduling, master schedule updates, estimating, quantity reporting, and labor cost reports.
• Coordinate submittals, procurement logs, document distribution, expediting, and subcontractor communications.
• Evaluate field problems, document and maintain PCI logs in CMiC, and prepare extra work orders and change order submittals.
• Support site safety planning, quality management, progress documentation, punch list work, and construction closeout.
• Maintain record drawings, O&M manuals, as-builts, and perform basic building information modeling and model administration.

Requirements

• 1–3 years of work-related experience in the design and/or construction of power substations.
• Legally authorized to work in the United States without current or future employer sponsorship.
• Basic estimating, scheduling, construction cost accounting, and plan and specification interpretation skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite; knowledge of virtual construction technology systems is preferred.
• Strong organization, prioritization, independent problem-solving, customer service, and interpersonal skills.
• Effective written and verbal English communication skills.

• P6 scheduling experience.
• Construction internship or field experience.
• Drafting and advanced computer skills.
