Senior Software Engineer, Agents (AI)

Location: Hybrid in San Francisco, California, United States

Salary: $225,000–$250,000 annually, plus equity

What you will do

• Develop the evals strategy and error-analysis practice for long-horizon AI agents.
• Design and build agent knowledge and evaluation infrastructure.
• Lead analysis of agent behavior and turn findings into platform-level reliability improvements.
• Build and harden backend systems for agent execution, evaluation, and monitoring at scale.
• Advance the AI platform’s reliability and quality roadmap in collaboration with the broader AI team.
• Mentor engineers and raise standards for evaluation rigor and error analysis.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of experience working specifically on agents.
• Strong experience working on an AI platform.
• Demonstrated experience building evaluations and performing error analysis.
• Backend engineering experience.
• Ability to work in a hybrid setup in San Francisco, United States.
