Director, Data, Data Science and Artificial Intelligence – Oncology / Prostate Cancer

Location: Onsite in New Brunswick, NJ; Spring House, PA; Titusville, NJ; Raritan, NJ; San Diego, CA; or Cambridge, MA. No remote option. Up to approximately 10% travel may be required.

Salary: $164,000–$282,900 annual base pay, plus eligibility for an annual performance bonus.

What you will do

• Lead data science and AI strategy for one or two clinical-stage prostate cancer programs.
• Represent Data Science on compound teams and develop AI, real-world evidence, and trial strategies for clinical development.
• Apply advanced analytics, statistical models, machine learning, and AI to complex healthcare datasets.
• Develop and validate novel AI endpoints, study-design analytics, and digital pathology approaches.
• Collaborate with Regulatory Affairs, Medical Affairs, Clinical Development, Epidemiology, Commercial Data Science, Statistics, and other functions.
• Manage external corporate and academic partnerships supporting prostate cancer programs.

Requirements

• Advanced degree such as PhD, MD, PharmD, or MS in Data Science, Pharmacoepidemiology, Biostatistics, Outcomes Research, Public Health, Computer Science, or a related field.
• At least 8 years of experience in drug development or a related biotechnology, AI, omics, real-world evidence, or clinical outcomes research discipline.
• Working knowledge of clinical oncology, including treatment paradigms, patient experience, and clinical trials.
• Experience with predictive technologies, data mining or text mining, R&D data science use cases, and healthcare datasets such as EHR, omics, or imaging data.
• Experience driving external partnerships, managing timelines, and delivering results in a matrixed organization.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and written communication skills.

Nice to have

• Working knowledge of genitourinary clinical oncology.
• Hematology/oncology fellowship training.
• R&D experience at a pharmaceutical company, biotech, or partner organization.
• Knowledge of regulatory science.
