Summer 2027 - Electrical Engineering Internship (Hardware)

What you will do

• Design and build electronics hardware for satellite communication systems.
• Develop hardware from concept through component selection, schematic capture, PCB layout, build, testing, delivery, and in-orbit support.
• Create schematics and layouts for assigned hardware designs.
• Support circuit analysis, hardware bring-up, debugging, and hands-on laboratory work.
• Collaborate with design engineers and present work to peers, mentors, and executive leadership.

Requirements

• Current enrollment in a BS, MS, or PhD program in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering at an accredited university.
• GPA of 3.5 or higher.
• Strong fundamentals in electrical engineering and practical experience designing and building electronics hardware.
• Experience with schematic capture, PCB layout, hardware bring-up, and debugging.
• Hands-on experience with oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, electronic loads, and signal generators.
• Must be a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident, conditional resident, asylee, refugee, or eligible to obtain the required U.S. Department of State authorizations.

Nice to have

• Competition-team, research, aerospace, or CubeSat experience.
• Advanced coursework or research in digital, power, analog, or RF circuit design.
• Programming experience with C, C++, Python, or MATLAB for hardware bring-up and testing.
• Experience with SPICE-based circuit simulation.
