Electrical Engineering Intern (Winter/Spring 2027)

hirify.global develops 3D printing technology, hardware, and materials used by industry leaders to design, prototype, and manufacture physical products.

What you will do

• Design, prototype, and validate electronics and electromechanical subsystems for 3D printing products.
• Design and assemble custom circuit boards and prototype hardware.
• Develop firmware for microcontrollers and create test scripts in Python.
• Debug analog, digital, and electromechanical systems, including sensors, feedback, and motor control.
• Work with other engineers to define system requirements and make design decisions.

Requirements

• Full-time onsite availability in Somerville, Massachusetts, from January through May 2027.
• A portfolio of previous engineering work or projects is required.
• Experience designing, assembling, and debugging PCBs.
• Experience with soldering and prototyping personal designs.
• Experience with microcontrollers, sensors, feedback systems, or motor control.
• Comfort programming microcontrollers in C and developing test scripts in Python.

• Experience working on electromechanical products.
