HR Operations Manager - 14 Month Contract

Location: Sydney, Australia, supporting offices across Hong Kong and Korea.

What you will do

• Lead, coach, and develop a team of four HR Generalists and HR Coordinators based in Sydney.
• Own global mobility across APAC, including inbound and outbound moves, intra-region transfers, and international relocations.
• Manage visa and immigration activity, including sponsorship obligations, renewals, compliance, and risk management.
• Run the full employee lifecycle, including contracts, onboarding, staff movements, offboarding, and terminations.
• Improve and automate HR operations processes, reporting, policies, and service delivery.
• Partner with HRIS, Legal, Finance, Payroll, HRBPs, compensation, and external providers on regional and global initiatives.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Human Resources, Business, or a related field.
• 6+ years of experience in generalist HR, HR Operations, or shared services in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience leading and developing a small team.
• Demonstrated global mobility and immigration experience across multiple APAC jurisdictions.
• Strong knowledge of HRIS platforms; Workday experience is highly regarded.
• Experience with process improvement, SOP development, HR capability building, and senior stakeholder communication.

• Experience supporting compensation processes and annual review cycles.
• Experience working with relocation specialists, immigration counsel, health insurance providers, and tax advisors.
