Facilities Space Planning Project Manager (Aerospace)

Location: Space Coast, Florida, United States. The role requires facility inspections, including construction sites, occasional travel to other company sites, and U.S. citizenship, nationality, permanent residency, refugee status, or asylum status under export control regulations.

What you will do

• Develop and maintain strategic space plans across the facilities portfolio to support workforce growth and business needs.
• Manage space planning, fit-out, renovation, and capital projects from concept through occupancy, including scope, schedule, budget, and stakeholder coordination.
• Analyze space utilization and workforce forecasts to recommend footprint optimization and occupancy solutions.
• Coordinate architects, interior designers, construction managers, vendors, facilities operations, and furniture suppliers.
• Maintain space data in CAFM/IWMS systems and produce reports, dashboards, and proposals for senior leadership.
• Establish space standards, move management protocols, occupancy policies, and workplace strategy programs such as hoteling and hot-desking.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in architecture, interior design, facilities management, construction management, urban planning, or a related field.
• 5+ years of progressive experience in facilities space planning, workplace strategy, or project management, including complex multi-site or capital projects.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and/or Revit, CAFM/IWMS platforms, and Microsoft Office tools including Excel, PowerPoint, and Project.
• Strong knowledge of workplace design standards, building systems, construction processes, space utilization metrics, and stakeholder management.
• Must meet U.S. export control eligibility requirements: U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.
• Ability to walk and inspect facilities and construction sites, travel occasionally to other sites, and work flexible hours during critical project phases.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree, PMP certification, CFM certification, or LEED accreditation.
• Experience in aerospace, defense, manufacturing, high-tech, campus master planning, or BOMA measurement standards.
• Knowledge of sustainability and energy-efficiency practices in facility design.
