Escrow Servicing Specialist I (Mortgage Servicing)

Location: Hybrid, with work locations in Vienna, VA; Pensacola, FL; or Winchester, VA. Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM.

Salary: $20.15–$30.92 per hour.

What you will do

• Review and process escrow analyses under RESPA, Reg X, Reg Z, FDPA, HPA, and investor guidelines.
• Monitor escrow accounts, property tax collections, insurance coverage, billing, and disbursements; identify and correct discrepancies.
• Validate Hazard and Flood insurance coverage and process LPI, PMI, FHA reconciliations, MI cancellations, delinquency reporting, and payment verifications.
• Prepare operational, compliance, month-end, and ad hoc reports while maintaining data integrity in servicing systems.
• Coordinate with members, internal teams, vendors, tax authorities, and auditors to resolve issues and improve workflows.
• Support vendor oversight through scorecards, wire functions, invoice processing, and escalated tax issue resolution.

Requirements

• Experience or familiarity with financial institution practices, mortgage servicing, lending regulations, escrow analysis, property taxes, and insurance compliance.
• Knowledge of Conventional, FHA, and VA loans; RESPA; and Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, or VA mortgage servicing guidelines.
• Strong analytical, research, problem-solving, document review, communication, and attention-to-detail skills.
• Ability to navigate multiple systems, perform accurate data entry, prepare reports, and maintain servicing data integrity.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and related applications.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities independently and collaborate effectively with members, vendors, and internal teams.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with Navy Federal mortgage products, policies, and procedures.
• Experience as a licensed insurance agent or property tax collector.
