What you will do

• Underwrite real estate loan requests and provide upfront and final credit approvals within individual lending authority limits.
• Ensure loan decisions comply with internal lending policies, SOPs, state and federal regulations, and investor guidelines.
• Review policy exceptions, issue counter-offers, and recommend decisions to senior underwriters or management when required.
• Maintain loan operating system records and ensure turnaround times from completed application through funding are met.
• Handle escalated member inquiries regarding appraisals, counter-offers, and loan stipulations.
• Mentor loan consultants, processors, and closers while supporting processing and closing activities as needed.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• 3–5 years of related experience.
• Knowledge of real estate lending, credit approval, investor requirements, and lending policies.
• Ability to comply with regulatory requirements, including BSA-related responsibilities and assigned training.
• Ability to work 40 scheduled hours per week in Tustin, California.
