Director (Fintech)

Location: Ashburn, Virginia, United States; at least 3 days per week in the office required. Travel required 5–10% of the time.

Salary: $151,600–$257,000 USD per year, plus potential bonus, equity, and sales incentives.

What you will do

• Sell consulting services and manage a portfolio of financial institution and issuing bank clients.
• Build consulting sales pipelines, develop opportunities, and contribute to deal closure and revenue goals.
• Lead consulting engagements by defining scope, timelines, resources, methodologies, and recommendations.
• Design integrated solutions for growth strategy, profitability, customer segmentation, product development, acquisition, retention, and portfolio enhancement.
• Analyze internal and industry datasets to produce actionable insights and strategic recommendations.
• Use AI and agentic workflows to improve the efficiency, scalability, and effectiveness of consulting engagements.

Requirements

• 10+ years of work experience with a Bachelor's Degree, 8+ years with an advanced degree, or 3+ years with a PhD.
• Preferred: 12+ years of experience with a Bachelor's Degree, 8–10 years with an advanced degree, or 6+ years with a PhD.
• Experience in management consulting, U.S. financial institutions, payments, or financial services.
• Strong analytical and quantitative skills, including experience using financial indicators and measuring ROI.
• Knowledge of banking operations, payment schemes, card issuing, products and services, business processes, and marketing initiatives.
• Strong communication, storytelling, presentation, relationship-building, sales, and multitasking skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with community banking clients, debit and credit payments, and issuing banks.
• Technology mindset and awareness of digital trends and applications.
