Principal Software Automation/Test Engineer (Cloud Management)

Location: Santa Clara, California, United States of America; most teams work from the office full time

Salary: $156,400–$253,000 per year, plus potential bonus and restricted stock units

What you will do

• Build and maintain test plans, test cases, and SDET quality processes.
• Develop automated testing for REST APIs using Python and Pytest.
• Create UI automation with Selenium, JavaScript, and Playwright.
• Build and maintain GitLab CI/CD pipelines for cloud platforms.
• Test scalable, secure, multi-tenant cloud management solutions across physical, virtual, and containerized environments.
• Develop autonomous testing systems and AI-powered quality engineering tools.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience as a Software Developer, SDET, or Software Test Engineer.
• Strong knowledge of test automation methodologies, tools, frameworks, and SDET practices.
• Proficiency in Python, Java, or JavaScript.
• Experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP, plus TCP/IP networking and network or cloud security.
• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Engineering or a related technical field.
• Ability to work from the Santa Clara office location.

Nice to have

• Experience testing cloud management platforms.
• Knowledge of Active Directory, cloud directories, and identity providers such as Azure, Google, or Okta.
