SAP Enterprise Architect (SAP S/4HANA)

Location: Remote for candidates based in Canada or the United States; client travel is approximately 30%–40% of working time.

What you will do

• Define target architectures and multi-year roadmaps for SAP environments, including sequencing, dependencies, and release waves.
• Chair architecture governance and arbitrate decisions affecting the coherence and maintainability of the SAP landscape.
• Advise CIOs, executive steering committees, delivery teams, and solution architects on platform strategy, technical debt, acquisitions, divestitures, and carve-outs.
• Establish integration, data, security, and extensibility standards, including clean-core principles and exception governance.
• Review solution architectures, integration designs, and extension proposals, and lead architecture solutioning for transformation programs.
• Create reference architectures, evaluate emerging SAP capabilities, and mentor solution architects.

Requirements

• At least 15 years of experience in enterprise technology, including at least 6 years in an architecture role spanning multiple systems.
• Ownership of target-state architecture for at least two large SAP estates through multi-year transformations.
• At least 5 years of experience with SAP S/4HANA and governance of integration, data, security, and extensibility standards.
• Fluency across cloud, identity, integration, and data platforms, with experience presenting and defending decisions to CIOs or executive steering committees.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, information technology, or a related field.
• Good oral and written English communication skills are required for communication with clients across North America.

Nice to have

• SAP enterprise architecture, TOGAF, SAP LeanIX, cloud architecture, or SAP Activate certification.
• Experience with RISE with SAP, mergers and acquisitions, or SAP AI and agentic capabilities.
