What you will do

• Research, conduct experiments, gather data, and prepare technical reports for new product development projects.
• Conceptualize and develop product prototypes using consumer insights, ingredient statements, nutritional profiles, cost targets, and product attributes.
• Optimize formulations with sensory tools and develop manufacturing processes and finished-product specifications.
• Execute quality, stability, cooking-parameter, safety, cost-saving, plant-trial, and product-startup activities.
• Create project timelines and collaborate with project managers, Engineering, Packaging, Operations, QA, and Marketing.
• Support customer presentations and communicate new product ideas to cross-functional teams.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Food Science or a related field required; a master’s degree is preferred.
• At least 1 year of relevant work experience or internship experience.
• Clear, concise written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office products.
• Ability to travel independently throughout the U.S., potentially overseas, and drive for 4–6 hours as needed.
• Ability to work with tools, equipment, machinery, food-tasting activities, and varied physical and environmental conditions.
