Analytical Chemist (Food Chemistry)

Location: Onsite in Madison, Wisconsin, USA; candidates must reside within a commutable distance.

Eurofins Food Chemistry Madison operates an ISO 17025 accredited laboratory providing food chemistry testing for infant formula, nutrition products, hemp and CBD, dietary supplements, and botanicals.

What you will do

• Conduct routine food chemistry analyses according to approved methods, protocols, SOPs, and regulatory guidelines.
• Apply GMP and GLP practices and maintain accurate study documentation and laboratory records.
• Learn to operate laboratory equipment and software, including UPLC, HPLC, GC, and LCMS instrumentation.
• Perform peer review of data and participate in project meetings.
• Plan daily workload, coordinate assignments with colleagues, and contribute to a collaborative laboratory environment.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field; laboratory experience may substitute for the degree.
• At least 2 years of relevant experience.
• Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship.
• Strong computer, scientific, organizational, communication, and attention-to-detail skills.
• Ability to work independently, learn new techniques, manage multiple tasks, maintain accurate records, and follow instructions.
• Ability to work onsite in Madison, WI, including prolonged standing or sitting, laboratory hood and bench work, PPE use, and exposure to potentially hazardous materials and food allergens.
