TL;DR
Senior Frontend Engineer (AI): Designing and scaling async, production-grade backend systems for an AI-native platform with an accent on Python APIs, multi-agent orchestration, provider-agnostic LLM integration, and RAG pipelines. Focus on building vector-search retrieval, evolving relational data models, instrumenting services for production performance, and owning secure CI/CD delivery.

What you will do
- Design and scale asynchronous REST and WebSocket APIs in Python using FastAPI or similar frameworks, dependency injection, type hints, and vertical-slice architecture.
- Build multi-agent workflows and integrate multiple LLM providers through a provider-agnostic layer with A/B testing and cost-aware routing.
- Develop RAG pipelines using vector stores such as pgvector, Chroma, or managed vector search services.
- Design relational schemas and evolve data models with SQLAlchemy or SQLModel-style ORM tools and migrations.
- Instrument services with structured logging, distributed tracing, and cost and latency metrics, including p95 performance monitoring.
- Own CI/CD from linting, type checking, testing, and packaging through deployment, while defining AI code-review, provenance, licensing, and customer-data guardrails.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience building production backend systems in Python, including asynchronous I/O.
- Experience designing and scaling REST or asynchronous APIs with dependency injection and clean service architecture.
- Hands-on experience integrating LLM APIs such as OpenAI or Gemini and building AI-ready backend systems.
- Practical experience with vector databases, RAG architectures, relational schema design, query optimization, and migrations.
- Experience owning end-to-end CI/CD, from build and testing through packaging and deployment.
- Ability to work independently in ambiguous environments, review AI-generated code, and establish security, compliance, provenance, and licensing guardrails.
Nice to have
- Experience with multi-agent orchestration frameworks such as Semantic Kernel or LangChain.
- Experience with LLM cost and observability tooling.
