Solutions Engineer (Healthcare IT)

Location: Remote within the United States; occasional travel may be required.

What you will do

• Lead client discovery sessions and document business objectives, workflows, technical environments, requirements, risks, dependencies, and success criteria.
• Translate client needs into practical healthcare technology solutions covering infrastructure, networking, cybersecurity, cloud, hardware, software, and managed services.
• Develop Statements of Work, project scopes, deliverables, timelines, estimates, and implementation plans.
• Partner with Account Managers and cross-functional engineering, cybersecurity, project management, support, procurement, and operations teams throughout the sales and delivery lifecycle.
• Communicate solution value and business impact to technical and executive stakeholders, coordinate implementation handoffs, and support scope clarification and issue resolution.
• Maintain customer documentation and contribute to process improvements, documentation standards, and reusable solution resources.

Requirements

• Experience in Solutions Engineering, Sales Engineering, Technical Consulting, Managed Services, Implementation Services, Project Coordination, or a similar customer-facing technical role.
• Proven ability to lead discovery conversations, gather requirements, define project scope, and translate business needs into technical solutions.
• Experience developing Statements of Work, proposals, implementation plans, estimates, or related project documentation.
• Working knowledge of IT infrastructure, networking, cybersecurity, cloud services, hardware, software, and managed services.
• Strong written and verbal communication, organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills, including communication with executive-level and technical stakeholders.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities independently in a fast-paced remote environment and collaborate across cross-functional teams.

Nice to have

• Healthcare IT experience supporting provider organizations, healthcare systems, or healthcare-focused service providers.
• Experience in a Managed Services Provider environment and familiarity with EHR and practice management platforms.
• Knowledge of HL7, FHIR, healthcare integrations, interface engines, or data exchange solutions.
• Understanding of HIPAA, HITRUST, NIST, or related healthcare security and compliance frameworks.
• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
