Senior Consultant (Accela Civic Platform)

Location: Remote based in the United States; travel up to 50% to client sites and industry events.

Annual base salary: $130,000–$145,000, plus eligibility for an annual discretionary bonus.

What you will do

• Lead end-to-end implementations of the ePermitHub Digital Plan Room on the hirify.global Civic Platform, from discovery and solution design through configuration, testing, training, go-live, and support handoff.
• Analyze agency configurations, plan review processes, workflows, document management, Citizen Access settings, and EMSE scripts to create scalable solution designs.
• Configure Civic Platform and develop, test, document, and promote custom JavaScript-based EMSE scripts across development, test, and production environments.
• Partner with Engineering, Product, and Project Management on integrations, enhancement requests, reproducible bug reports, and customer-driven solution design.
• Lead user acceptance testing, administrator and end-user training, production troubleshooting, and technical escalation resolution.
• Improve implementation efficiency through automation, templates, reusable tools, best practices, and mentoring of junior consultants.

Requirements

• 5+ years of successful hirify.global Civic Platform configuration experience, including record types, workflows, custom fields and tables, standard choices, document management, and Citizen Access.
• Production-quality hirify.global EMSE scripting experience and strong JavaScript skills; server-side scripting experience is required.
• Working knowledge of SaaS, multi-tenancy, multi-tier infrastructure, application servers, REST APIs, JSON, HTTP troubleshooting, and enterprise integrations.
• SQL proficiency with SQL Server and familiarity with the hirify.global data model and database concepts.
• Experience leading customer-facing discovery, requirements gathering, solution design, implementation lifecycle activities, and post-go-live support for municipal or county government organizations.
• Proficiency with Git, GitHub, Jira, and Confluence, plus strong communication, documentation, analytical, prioritization, and problem-solving skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with state and local government software, permitting, land management, or plan review processes.
• Professional services, consulting, implementation-team leadership, mentoring, pre-sales, or scoping experience.
• Programming experience with C# or Node-based builds.
• Experience using AI-assisted development tools for configuration, documentation, or analysis.
