QA Engineer II

Location: Hybrid position in Tucson, Arizona, USA. Travel of up to 10% is required.

What you will do

• Lead and participate in test planning, estimation, scheduling, requirements traceability, and risk-based testing.
• Develop and maintain test cases, procedures, scripts, traceability records, and test data for OEM Drivers.
• Execute manual and automated system test procedures and report pass/fail results against quality plans.
• Identify, document, and mitigate technical risks across product development projects.
• Improve QA testing approaches and methodologies for lab and field environments.
• Provide guidance and mentoring on Quality Assurance principles and practices.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Systems Engineering, or a related technical field with a software QA focus.
• At least 3 years of experience in software testing.
• Knowledge of requirements management, quality control, and configuration management.
• Experience with lab and field test instrumentation, automation, client/server systems, and embedded technology configurations.
• Understanding of wired and wireless networking protocols, with strong analytical, planning, and communication skills.
• Knowledge of Perl, Python, or equivalent scripting languages; ISTQB/ASTQB practices are required, with certification considered a plus.
