Staff Software Quality Architect (Automotive)

Location: Milford, Michigan, United States. Hybrid schedule: 3 days in-office and 2 days remote; must be able to report to the local office. Up to 10% domestic and international travel.

What you will do

• Design testing strategies and automation frameworks using executable specifications for mechatronic systems.
• Align CI system design and evolution with VMEC user requirements and the SDV Mechatronic Platform architecture.
• Define and communicate the CI vision, roadmap, and improvement opportunities to leadership and cross-functional stakeholders.
• Drive improvements to CI systems, test infrastructure, and quality processes to increase reliability, coverage, and feedback speed.
• Provide technical leadership on test strategy, CI adoption, and built-in quality practices for mechatronic ECUs.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree with 8 years of relevant experience, or a master’s degree with 6 years of relevant experience in software quality or test architecture.
• Six years of experience with Python, C/C++, and embedded software development.
• Three years of experience with CI/CD tools and frameworks including GitHub Actions, Jenkins, and Docker, plus GitHub, GitLab, and Gerrit.
• Experience designing automated test frameworks and pipelines integrated with TestRail, Polarion, and JIRA.
• Experience with automotive embedded systems, CAN, Ethernet, Linux, AUTOSAR, ASPICE, ISO 26262 awareness, and BDD/TDD.
• Experience with HIL and co-simulation-based test environments for mechatronic ECUs, including CI dashboards and quality metrics.
