Software Development Engineer I (QA Automation)

What you will do

• Design, develop, and maintain automated test frameworks for Wi-Fi and networking products.
• Create Python tools and utilities for product validation, test execution, and data analysis.
• Develop Jenkins CI/CD pipelines and integrate automated testing into GitHub workflows.
• Manage software artifacts and package repositories with Artifactory.
• Analyze test results, troubleshoot failures, and identify root causes of software and system defects.
• Support regression, feature, performance, interoperability, lab automation, documentation, code review, and customer issue validation activities.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field; equivalent industry experience may be considered.
• 3+ years of software development or test automation experience.
• Strong Python development skills and experience with automated test solutions and CI/CD workflows.
• Experience with Jenkins, GitHub, Artifactory, Linux environments, and Git version control.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, debugging, communication, and documentation skills.
• Ability to work independently, collaborate across teams, and manage multiple priorities.

Nice to have

• Experience testing networking, broadband, wireless, or telecommunications products.
• Knowledge of TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, routing, switching, Ethernet, and Cisco IOS.
• Knowledge of Wi-Fi technologies including 802.11ac, Wi-Fi 6, and Wi-Fi 7.
• Experience with REST APIs, test automation frameworks, containerized environments, performance testing, throughput testing, or network protocol analysis.
