ALM Reporting Actuary

What you will do

• Lead accurate and timely responses to daily and ad hoc ALM requests.
• Own weekly asset and liability management information for Institutional Retirement Finance.
• Review interest-rate and inflation exposures and explain profit and loss movements.
• Assess the ALM impact of proposed trades, new assets, pension risk transfer schemes, and reinsurance activity.
• Produce concise analyses, escalate unusual results, and communicate technical conclusions to stakeholders.
• Strengthen reporting controls, governance, documentation, systems, methods, and automated reporting solutions.

Requirements

• Nearly qualified or newly qualified actuary.
• Strong understanding of investments, ALM, asset models, hedging, or market risk.
• Experience producing, reviewing, or analysing actuarial or financial reporting.
• Ability to explain movements and technical conclusions clearly to non-specialists.
• Strong Excel and data analysis skills, with ownership of delivery under regular deadlines.
• Confidence working across actuarial, investment, risk, and finance teams.

Nice to have

• Experience with Python, R, or similar tools.
• Background in life insurance, pensions, investment, banking, or consulting.
