Technical Program Manager, Manufacturing (Automotive)

Location: On-site in Hayward, CA or Fremont, CA

Zoox develops autonomous vehicle technology and is scaling vehicle production through integrated manufacturing, engineering, and operations programs.

What you will do

• Translate corporate strategy and milestones into manufacturing roadmaps, schedules, and deliverables.
• Define vehicle and manufacturing validation plans with engineering teams and external suppliers, including partial and full crash builds.
• Lead manufacturing strategies, assessments, and studies across multiple programs.
• Coordinate launch readiness and start-of-production activities.
• Support vehicle assembly and testing by aligning cross-functional teams and resolving or escalating roadblocks.
• Track resources, costs, risks, decisions, and progress across engineering, manufacturing, logistics, quality, procurement, finance, PMO, and software.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in engineering, management, or a related discipline.
• 5+ years of experience in manufacturing program management.
• Experience with industrial manufacturing, such as automotive, aerospace, or robotics.
• Experience integrating manufacturing programs with logistics, quality, and design engineering functions.
• Strong track record managing complex cross-functional projects.

Nice to have

• Experience coordinating vehicle or manufacturing validation activities with external partners and suppliers.
• Experience launching and scaling volume production.
• Experience building strong working relationships with senior leaders and engineers across functions.
• Ability to communicate clearly and concisely with different audiences while maintaining a strategic perspective.
