Technical Program Manager (Automotive Software)

Location: Palo Alto or Irvine, California, or Vancouver, British Columbia. Ability to travel as needed.

Salary: $154,000–$209,300 for California-based applicants, plus potential annual performance bonus and equity awards.

What you will do

• Lead complex, multidisciplinary software programs from concept through production.
• Drive planning and implementation of product features with product, design, software engineering, and hardware engineering teams.
• Define requirements, manage schedules, track roadmaps, identify risks, and resolve execution issues.
• Manage technical issues, release planning, resource needs, and program status communication.
• Coordinate stakeholders and maintain effective relationships across cross-functional teams and time zones.
• Improve development processes and accelerate delivery while balancing technical quality and product scope.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, electrical engineering, or a related engineering field.
• 7+ years of experience in program management, product management, engineering, or a similar cross-functional role.
• Experience launching consumer-facing software products.
• Proficiency with bug and task tracking tools, especially Jira.
• Experience working with cross-functional software teams and strong communication skills.
• Ability to travel as needed and work efficiently with planning, meetings, and asynchronous communication.
