Project Manager (Biotech)

Location: US - California - Thousand Oaks; onsite at the main corporate campus

Salary: $121,969.05–$165,016.95 annual base salary

A biotechnology company developing and manufacturing medicines for serious illnesses across oncology, inflammation, general medicine, and rare disease.

What you will do

• Develop and maintain project schedules and resource plans for Process Development pipeline projects.
• Integrate interdependent activities, identify dependencies, and optimize critical-path sequencing.
• Capture project risks, develop mitigation plans, and support scenario planning and decision-making.
• Coordinate functional and cross-functional management reviews, meetings, governance activities, and action-item tracking.
• Track deliverables, prepare project reporting, and communicate plans, timelines, and status to stakeholders.
• Support multiple project teams, business process improvements, and lessons-learned activities.

Requirements

• Doctorate degree; or a master's degree with 3 years of project management experience; or a bachelor's degree with 5 years; or an associate's degree with 10 years; or a high school diploma/GED with 12 years.
• Experience directly managing people, leading teams or projects, or directing resource allocation.
• Experience working with cross-functional teams and applying project management tools and practices.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, critical-thinking, and problem-solving skills.
• Experience with MS Project, Excel, and SharePoint.

Nice to have

• 10+ years of experience in pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or healthcare-related environments.
• Direct CMC experience.
