Process Development Engineer II, Advanced Therapy Project Management (ATPM) (AAV)

Location: On-site in Tarrytown, New York, United States; full-time onsite work model.

Salary: $93,900–$153,300 annually.

What you will do

• Lead cross-functional technology transfer teams and own workstreams for establishing production processes at CDMOs.
• Drive manufacturing start-up readiness by clarifying scope, securing approvals, tracking deliverables, and escalating risks with mitigation plans.
• Build and maintain integrated development and technology transfer plans, including scenario planning for key milestones.
• Develop communication strategies, operating cadences, and decision-ready status reporting for core teams and senior stakeholders.
• Lead technical forums, resolve issues, capture lessons learned, and improve Advanced Therapy Project Management ways of working.
• Partner with procurement, finance, legal, and internal stakeholders on CDMO engagement, RFPs, scope alignment, and contracting coordination.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Biochemistry, Chemical Engineering, Biochemical Engineering, or a related field with 6–8+ years of experience, or a master's degree with 3–6+ years of experience.
• Demonstrated ownership of cross-functional deliverables and the ability to facilitate collaboration independently.
• Ability to build and maintain integrated plans and design or improve repeatable business processes.
• Strong customer-service mindset, structured problem-solving skills, and ability to navigate ambiguity and changing priorities.
• Ability to identify risks, communicate trade-offs, and escalate roadblocks appropriately.

Nice to have

• Experience with CMC development or technology transfer to CDMOs, including process development, analytics, or documentation readiness.
• Knowledge of bioconjugation, gene therapy, AAV, or synthetic chemistry programs.
