TL;DR

Location: 100% onsite at the 1049 W. Ridge Road manufacturing facility in Rochester, NY, US; core hours are 7am–4pm, Monday–Friday. Relocation assistance may be considered for candidates outside the Rochester area.

Salary: $78,300–$95,000 per year, depending on experience, skills, education, and geographic market differentials.

What you will do

  • Provide hands-on technical support for diagnosing and resolving production issues, reducing downtime and protecting product quality.
  • Own assigned product lines by developing detailed knowledge of product functionality, end use, and standard work.
  • Analyze production data with the quality group, lead root cause analysis, and implement corrective and preventive actions.
  • Support equipment maintenance, calibration, new product introductions, and manufacturing process improvements.
  • Develop processes, tools, and fixtures from engineering requirements while driving cost reduction, productivity, safety, quality, and throughput improvements.
  • Manage engineering changes, supplier changes, component obsolescence, regulatory compliance, and communication with internal customers and vendors.

Requirements

  • Ability to work hands-on onsite in Rochester, NY, during core hours of 7am–4pm, Monday–Friday.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
  • At least two years of relevant hands-on engineering experience; medical device manufacturing experience is preferred.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, collaboration, task management, and prioritization skills.
  • Knowledge of quality expectations and compliance requirements, with proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Word.
  • Must be able to work immediately and in the future without visa sponsorship; visa sponsorship is not offered.

Nice to have

  • Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma experience.
  • SAP or ERP systems experience.
  • Familiarity with NX, Creo, or SolidWorks; ability to read mechanical drawings and understand GD&T.
  • Experience with medical device quality systems, change management, cost reduction, Design for Manufacturing, and FMEA.
