Academic Success Coach I (Higher Education): Supporting conditionally admitted and academically struggling undergraduate students through individual coaching, referrals, progress monitoring, and academic programming with an accent on student retention, case management, and university resource coordination. Location: Corpus Christi, Texas, United States; on-campus university role
Salary: Up to $18.79 per hour ($39,083.20 annually, approximately)

What you will do
- Provide individual and group academic coaching to conditionally admitted students and students below good academic standing.
- Manage a student caseload, answer academic questions, and connect students with resources for time management, test preparation, study skills, and supplemental support.
- Monitor student progress, including midterm and final grades, and support retention and student engagement initiatives.
- Implement academic support projects, interpret university policies and procedures, and participate in orientations, workshops, fairs, and other campus events.
- Maintain student contracts, assessments, referrals, progress reports, and achievement records.
- Collaborate with university staff and contribute to recruitment and student engagement activities.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree.
- Experience with at-risk populations, conditionally admitted students, or students on university scholastic probation.
- Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Familiarity with Navigate, Banner, DegreeWorks, and Argos student information systems.
- Ability to occasionally work evenings and weekends for student success programming and university events.
Nice to have
- Master’s degree.
- At least three years of experience with at-risk populations, academic support, or students on scholastic probation.
- Experience working in higher education.
