What you will do

• Advise undergraduate students on educational goals, majors, minors, degree requirements, course selection, and career options.
• Guide students through registration, add/drop, withdrawals, curriculum changes, transfer credit, and exception request processes.
• Review academic records, monitor student progression, and provide input on probationary decisions and intervention needs.
• Build student relationships through in-person and online outreach and communicate academic, professional, and wellness resources.
• Support student success, retention events, academic campaigns, and prospective student inquiries.
• Complete onboarding, advisor development, university, state, and national training programs.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree; no prior experience required.
• Ability to build effective relationships, communicate clearly, listen actively, collaborate, research information, and manage simultaneous projects.
• Ability to use word processing, spreadsheet, and database applications.
• Ability to handle confidential information.
• Ability to work cooperatively with others and support student academic and career goals.

• Knowledge of student development in higher education.
