Director, Platform Engineering (AI)

Location: Coppell, Texas, United States (Corporate, onsite)

Salary: $143,100–$200,000 per year

What you will do

• Lead platform engineering, integration engineering, DevSecOps, site reliability engineering, and quality engineering functions.
• Set engineering strategies, standards, roadmaps, and cloud-native design practices for enterprise platforms.
• Modernize backend technology platforms, APIs, integration frameworks, microservices, and shared services.
• Drive CI/CD, Infrastructure as Code, secure-by-design delivery, automated testing, and release validation.
• Establish SLOs, SLIs, observability, monitoring, incident response, and operational resiliency practices.
• Build and develop engineering organizations, mentor leaders, and align engineering with architecture, infrastructure, security, and business stakeholders.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 12+ years of progressive software engineering, platform engineering, or technology leadership experience, including 5+ years leading engineering organizations.
• Experience managing engineering managers and technical leads, leading modernization programs, and influencing executive stakeholders.
• Strong experience with cloud platforms, preferably Azure, enterprise architecture, integrations, DevSecOps, and CI/CD automation.
• Experience with reliability engineering, production operations, observability, platform performance, scalability, and availability.
• Must work onsite in Coppell, Texas, United States.

Nice to have

• Experience with Azure DevOps, GitHub Enterprise, GitHub Actions, API management, or integration platforms.
• Experience leading Platform Engineering organizations and implementing SRE practices.
• Experience in restaurant, retail, hospitality, entertainment, or consumer-facing digital organizations.
• Experience using AI and automation to improve engineering productivity or supporting distributed enterprise applications.
