Director, AI Engineering (Corporate)

Location: Miami, FL, United States. Primarily an office-based role with physical and sedentary work requirements.

What you will do

• Lead engineering teams responsible for corporate systems and establish their vision, structure, and culture.
• Set technical direction and engineering strategy in alignment with enterprise architecture and technology roadmaps.
• Partner with corporate business leaders to translate business needs into scalable technical solutions.
• Drive AI and automation adoption, including agentic workflows, LLM-powered tooling, and intelligent process automation.
• Own portfolio delivery, prioritization, resourcing, budget management, and vendor or contractor oversight.
• Establish engineering practices for code quality, CI/CD, security, operational excellence, resiliency, and scalability.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field preferred; equivalent experience may be considered.
• Significant progressive engineering experience, including leadership of multiple engineering teams supporting enterprise functions.
• Hands-on experience with modern software architecture, AWS and/or Azure, and microservices or API-based development.
• Practical experience applying AI/ML or generative AI, including LLMs or agentic frameworks, to production business systems.
• Strong understanding of Agile/Scrum and modern DevSecOps practices.
• Experience managing budgets, vendors, contractors, and relationships with senior business and technology stakeholders.
