Senior Advisor, Infrastructure & IT Operations (Top Secret)

Location: Washington, D.C.; on-site support required based on customer and mission needs. The role also references Bethesda, Maryland, and requires approximately 10% travel.

Salary: $190,000–$225,000 annually, depending on experience.

What you will do

• Advise senior government and program leaders on technical options, requirements, roadmaps, risk, and modernization priorities.
• Lead infrastructure modernization, cloud, workplace technology, continuity of operations, and disaster recovery initiatives.
• Evaluate network and infrastructure designs and guide teams toward sustainable enterprise-scale solutions.
• Strengthen ITIL-aligned service management using ServiceNow, monitoring platforms, and operational data.
• Provide senior escalation support during major outages and complex cross-functional issues.
• Mentor technical leaders and improve accountability, collaboration, and operational ownership.

Requirements

• Active Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility and U.S. citizenship are required.
• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline or equivalent professional experience.
• 15+ years of progressive enterprise IT experience.
• 8+ years in technical or operational leadership roles.
• Experience leading enterprise infrastructure, IT operations, or related modernization initiatives.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree in computer science or a related technical field.
• Federal or national-security customer experience, particularly in classified environments.
• Experience with ServiceNow, Citrix, Microsoft enterprise platforms, Azure Government, or AWS GovCloud.
• Experience with ITIL, Lean Six Sigma, PMP, CISM, CISSP, CCNP, CCNA, Azure, AWS, or ServiceNow certifications.
• Experience leading multidisciplinary teams, program transitions, recompetes, or technical oral presentations.
