Director, Infrastructure Engineering (AI)

Salary: $156,640–$229,598 per year

What you will do

• Lead the modernization of infrastructure engineering across networking, compute, virtualization, storage, IBM i, data centers, and cloud platforms.
• Define and execute a multi-year strategy for secure, automated, service-oriented infrastructure capabilities.
• Lead AWS and Microsoft Azure architecture, landing zones, governance, operations, migration, resiliency, monitoring, and cost optimization.
• Modernize network operations through Infrastructure as Code, APIs, version control, automated testing, CI/CD, and monitoring.
• Oversee legacy infrastructure modernization, technical debt reduction, disaster recovery, cyber resiliency, and operational excellence.
• Build and develop infrastructure teams, establish performance practices, and partner with technology, security, vendors, and business stakeholders.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
• 10+ years of progressive infrastructure, systems, cloud, or platform engineering experience, including 5+ years in leadership.
• Experience leading complex on-premises migrations to Azure and/or AWS in production environments.
• Experience implementing Infrastructure as Code, CI/CD, automation, configuration management, observability, and modern engineering practices at scale.
• Strong knowledge of networking, cloud, platform engineering, compute, virtualization, storage, data center infrastructure, security, and operational models.
• Exceptional leadership, communication, strategic planning, executive communication, vendor management, and technical problem-solving skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with VMware migrations, data center exits, Terraform, CloudFormation, Bicep/ARM, Ansible, PowerShell, Hyper-V, Kubernetes, SRE practices, SD-WAN, SASE, Zero Trust, and cloud-native networking.
• Relevant AWS, Azure, networking, security, or platform engineering certifications.
