Project Manager - Life Sciences

Location: Raleigh, NC, United States; projects and clients are nationwide, with travel to project sites and client facilities as required.

What you will do

• Lead multidisciplinary architectural and engineering teams delivering pharmaceutical, biotechnology, and life sciences facilities.
• Manage project scope, budgets, schedules, staffing, risks, and change throughout the design lifecycle.
• Coordinate design teams, construction teams, process leaders, engineers, and external consultants.
• Oversee planning, concept development, detailed design, construction documentation, submittals, RFIs, and construction support.
• Ensure designs address GMP, FDA, constructability, quality control, and other regulatory requirements.
• Present project updates and technical reviews to clients and senior stakeholders, mentor designers and engineers, and support proposals and pursuits.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in architecture, engineering, or a related technical field.
• 10+ years of architectural or engineering design experience in GMP, FDA, or other regulated manufacturing environments.
• Experience as a design project manager or senior technical discipline lead on complex projects.
• Proven experience designing pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or life sciences facilities.
• Strong understanding of construction methods, process systems, regulatory-driven design, and multidisciplinary coordination.
• Excellent client-facing communication skills; proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with AutoCAD, Revit, or similar tools. Ability to travel to project sites and client facilities is required.

• Senior architecture or engineering discipline leadership experience with readiness to move into broader project management responsibilities.
• Familiarity with AutoCAD, Revit, or similar design tools.
