Senior Test Engineer (Manual Testing)

Location: Hybrid in Ashburn, Virginia, with 1–2 days per week onsite. US citizenship is required, along with the ability to obtain a CBP Public Trust Final clearance.

Salary: $100,000–$125,000 per year

What you will do

• Review requirements, user stories, functional specifications, and acceptance criteria.
• Design, document, and execute test plans, test cases, and test scripts.
• Perform functional, regression, integration, smoke, and user acceptance testing.
• Identify, document, prioritize, track, and verify defects using Jira or similar tools.
• Validate application functionality, data accuracy, databases, and system integrations.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies and support release validation and post-deployment verification.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in software quality assurance and manual testing.
• Experience testing web-based applications and enterprise software solutions.
• Strong understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle and Software Testing Life Cycle.
• Experience creating and executing test cases, scenarios, and plans.
• Hands-on experience with Jira, Azure DevOps, or similar defect management tools.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, communication, and critical-thinking skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with SQL and database validation testing.
• Familiarity with data integration and cloud-based applications.
• Experience working in Agile or Scrum teams.
