Software QA/Test Engineer

Location: Middletown, Rhode Island; hybrid work with occasional telework, but must be local to the work location and support the Middletown office.

Salary: $49,192.06–$85,535.44 per year. The posting also lists $1,000 under Salary.

What you will do

• Perform quality assurance and software testing for enterprise business applications.
• Analyze test requirements and develop test procedures, cases, and supporting documentation.
• Execute automated, manual, regression, security, performance, unit, and software/system integration testing.
• Conduct interface testing, maintain system requirement baselines, and support engineering meetings.
• Identify functional defects, create clear bug reports, and validate fixes.
• Review test results, analyze patterns, and compile metrics and follow-up actions.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related technology field.
• Two to five years of QA/Test experience; Department of Defense experience is preferred.
• Ability to participate actively in an Agile Scrum team and related ceremonies.
• Strong application testing, problem-solving, and debugging capabilities.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills and the ability to work independently and with remote teammates.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance and work locally from the Middletown, Rhode Island office.
