QA Engineer I (Software QA)

Location: Hybrid position in Tucson, Arizona, USA; travel required up to 25%

What you will do

• Support software development, maintenance, and product quality activities within the Product Development team.
• Plan and execute manual and automated system testing, including test cases, procedures, scripts, test data, and pass/fail reporting.
• Create requirements traceability, risk-based test plans, estimates, and QA schedules.
• Develop unit tests, automation tests, simulation tools, and frameworks to improve Software and QA engineering productivity.
• Analyze large software systems, design testing strategies, and identify, document, and mitigate technical risks.
• Recommend process, structural, and technical improvements and assist with release scope definition.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Systems Engineering, or a related technical field with an emphasis on software Quality Assurance.
• Knowledge of requirements management, quality control, and configuration management.
• Understanding of wired and wireless networking protocols.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, planning, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
• Detail-oriented approach to software quality assurance.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of PowerShell or other scripting languages.
• Experience working with SQL databases.
